local search ranking factors), customers reviews definitely play a heavy role in helping your Google+ Local page to rise higher in the search engine results. Because of this, we’ve put together this awesome post on how three guaranteed ways to get more customers reviews. So without further ado, lets jump in!
Open Your Mouth
This is probably the simplest principle, however, it is also one of the hardest to get business owners to do. When I ask small business owners if they ask their customers for reviews, they say no, they are not comfortable asking for them. I don’t want to know the response they would give me if I asked them if they ever asked their customers for referrals 🙂Send Client Satisfaction Surveys
When you run a small business, you better be collecting all sorts of data on your customers. The bare minimum should be a first name, last name, and email address. If you get their cell phone and social info like their Twitter handle, you can do mobile marketing, and reach out to them via social. Once you have a client’s email address, you should send them satisfaction surveys whenever they do business with you. When reviewing the data, if any of the responses were positive, reach back out thanking them for taking the survey and send them a link to your Google+ Local page asking them for a quick review that will help you continue to build your business. 9/10 times they will have a review written an published within a day. It’s that easy!Bust Out The iPad or iPad Mini (whichever you prefer)
One of the easiest ways to get your customers to provide you with reviews is to have a brand new iPad sitting on your front desk and ask them on their way out to provide you with a review. The customer would then need to login and leave their review. I have seen dentists, doctors, chiropractors, and other service based business doing this and having a ton of success. Yes, you do have to front some cash up front, but the return on your investment will be well worth it! So these are my three guaranteed ways to get more reviews from your customers.
